I’d like to take a moment of your time to tell you about the White County Tea
Party Patriots. The media has portrayed Tea Parties as radical obstructionists,
hateful and racist. Some even consider us a third party.
They could not be more wrong!
Let me tell you who we really are. We are salt of the Earth people from White,
Cass, Pulaski, Carroll, Fulton, Miami, Wabash and Hendricks Counties. We are
Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters and Kids.
We are you!
We are not a political group nor do we have any intentions of becoming a third
party. We are simply a group of citizens united by shared concerns about the
direction our country has taken. We believe that adherence to the US Constitution
will result in limited federal government, fiscal responsibility and free markets. We
recognize the strength of grassroots organizing powered by activism and civic
responsibility at the local level. Our mission is to organize like minded individuals,
educate and inform others based on our core values. To secure public policy
consistent with those values, and to positively affect the outcome of elections.
We do not endorse candidates, we expose them.
Nationwide, millions of citizens have peacefully risen up and attended thousands of
rallies in protest. We seek nothing more than the preservation of our Constitution.
And because we do, we insist that the temporary inhabitants of high political office
comply with the Constitution, honor our God-given unalienable rights, and respect
our hard-earned private property. For this we are called angry and racist, among
other things, by some of the very people who've condemned this society.
America is NOT the problem in the world. America is the solution to the world's
problems. We love our country and want to save it from those who do not.
We are here strictly to enlighten and inform. This will allow a self informed wise
choice on Election Day.
What Tea Party’s nationwide are doing is a good thing.
Our meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at the USA restaurant in
Monticello at 7PM. We even offer a Constitutional Study Group within the meeting.
Every candidate running for US Senate and Congressional Districts 2 and 4 have
been speakers at our meetings. Several State Senators and Congressmen have even
registered as members of our Tea Party.
I would like to invite you, the skeptics, to attend one of our meetings and see
first hand for yourself exactly who we are. You just might come away with a
warm cozy feeling of unity. You just might realize that we are you.
