This was one of most exciting meetings to date!
We had 18 in attendance. We lost a few but we gained a few
more. We are consistent and our truly devoted members
keep coming back. That's what makes this work! Keep
coming back! Bring a Friend!
We would like to extend a great big THANKS to WMRS,
Sunny 107.7 Radio station. They have accepted our
application and we WILL have our own table at the Home
and Garden show this coming weekend. Our members will
take turns working the booth. As always, our own Media
Master Tom will take the video and get us up on YouTube.
Hopefully this will bring to the attention of the citizens of
Monticello that we do indeed have a Tea Party here!
We've asked our local newspaper to acknowledge our group
several times in vain. A simple acknowledgement would
inform White County that they do have a Tea Party working
in their behalf, and their grandchildren's behalf.
We are a growing movement and will continue relentlessly to
make every effort we can to positively change the perilous
direction our country has taken.
It is inexcusable that we had, and will continue to have,
Candidates who are running for our US Government
offices, representing the State of Indiana, right here in our
own little town. Available for one on one question and
answer discussions with Monticello residents....and our
local newspaper has intentionally put blinders on to all
of our patriotic efforts. Disgraceful.
Tonight we hosted our very first Candidate!
Our guest speaker tonight was State Senator Brandt
Hershman, candidate for Congressional District 4.
Senator Hershman spent an hour with us and presented
himself as sincere and experienced. We need someone in
DC to represent Indiana that is not afraid of confrontation.
Senator Hershman fit that bill completely.
We have a prepared questionnaire for both Senate and
Congressional Candidates to answer.
Senator Hershman answered with ease and from the heart.
He blended well with us last night. He has remained tied to
the community. His experience is extensive yet he
maintains his integrity. Brandt is a good man.
We wish him good luck May 4th.
We look forward to hosting Richard Behney this coming
Monday, March 15th. Check the Calendar of Events on our
homepage for future events and guest speakers.
White County Tea Party Patriots meets on the third Monday of each
month. We will have special meetings prior to the Primaries so that each
Candidate may attend and speak at our meeting.
Our next meeting will be March 15th at 7PM.
