| An excellent meeting this month. We're growing step by step. We're organizing slowly but surely. Our speaker was Rob Burgess, Volunteer for Todd Rokita. Todd Rokita running for Steve Buyer’s seat in Congress, spoke on his behalf. As Secretary of State, he never increased his budget in the six years he has been in office. Rob indicates that Todd is interested in working with us. Hopefully we will have him as a guest speaker soon. Curly presented his 'Hot Buttons' issue and everyone agreed we are taxed too much. We have to keep these politicians accountable to the people. We will deal with individual 'Hot Buttons' at each meeting. So be prepared to bring your own 'Button' with you March 8th. And bring a friend! Our Mission Statement has been prepared, in accordance with Tea Parties Nationwide, as follows: White County Tea Party Patriots are a group of individuals united by our shared concerns. We believe that adherence to the US Constitution will result in a Limited Federal Government, Fiscal Responsibility and Free Markets. We recognize the strength of grassroots organizing powered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level. Our mission is to organize like-minded individuals, educate and inform others based on our core values, to secure public policy consistent with those values, and to positively affect the outcome of elections. White County Tea Party Patriots meets on the third Monday of each month. Our next meeting will be March 8, 2010 at 7PM. USA Restaurant in Monticello. Private room. Everyone is welcome!
